Role and tasks of the second assistant operator
Above all, he is responsible for the rushes. He must check the time remaining on the camera card before each take, and communicate this to the script supervisor. He must also replace the camera card if necessary, and manage the duplication of rushes as shots are shot.
He must make 2 digital copies of each take on two separate hard disks, to be sent each evening to the lab and production.
