⚠️ vigilance in private higher education
Private higher education in France is currently in crisis, with many schools resorting to abusive practices that are not subject to any regulatory framework, and which penalize students and their families.
These schools, mainly owned by investment funds, use deceptive and aggressive commercial practices.
We would like to draw your attention to this point, and urge you to find out all you can about a course before committing yourself to it.
A real social problem, Parliament conducted an inquiry into the subject in 2024, and its report n°2458 denounced practices ranging from misleading information to outright fraud!
Journalist Claire Marchal of Le Monde carried out a two-year investigation into one of these groups, and we invite you to read her book: Le Cube, published by Flammarion in March 2025.
France 3 Bretagne also carried out a report in August 2025 on the subject.

Why choose ESRA's state-approved
training program?
At ESRA, opting for a state-approved degree means choosing an education recognized for both academic rigor and professional relevance in the fields of film, sound and audiovisual design. This type of degree is a real guarantee of quality and openness, both for further study and for effective integration into the job market, in France and abroad.

1. A guarantee of academic excellence
At ESRA, a state-approved degree certifies demanding training in line with developments in the industry. Our programs are designed with recognized professionals in mind, and delivered in a high-level technical environment conducive to learning creative professions.
2. Access to public scholarships
Students enrolled in a state-approved degree program at ESRA are eligible for various forms of financial aid, including CROUS scholarships. These grants, awarded on the basis of social criteria, facilitate access to our courses by considerably reducing the cost of study.
3. Recognition that goes beyond borders
Diplomas benefit from international academic recognition. Thanks to ECTS credits, students can consider mobility within Europe or beyond, as part of university partnerships or to pursue a degree course abroad.
4. A powerful lever for professional integration
In the film, TV, music or 3D animation sectors, a certified degree is an asset. It certifies a high level of qualification and training in line with professional expectations. Many recruiters prefer graduates of recognized schools such as ESRA.
