What is VAE?
Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience (VAE) enables you to obtain a recognized degree by valorizing the skills you have developed throughout your career - whether professional, voluntary or personal.
Have you acquired experience on the job, without necessarily going through conventional training? VAE enables you to transform this experience into official certification: degree, professional title or qualification certificate.
Accessible to all - regardless of age, status, nationality or level of study - VAE is a real springboard for gaining recognition for your career path and professional advancement.

VAE objectives
Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience, or VAE, can be used as a means of personal and/or professional development. It is an individual right enshrined in the French Labor Code: "any person engaged in working life is entitled to have the benefits of his or her experience, particularly professional experience, validated with a view to acquiring a degree, a professional title or a certificate of qualification".
This approach enables the candidate to :
- recognition of a professional certification registered with the RNCP or a block of acquired skills
- through paid, self-employed or voluntary work

Total or partial VAE?
Candidates can only submit one application per year, and up to three applications for different certifications.

VAE Total
When the candidate's acquired experience is consistent with the knowledge, skills and competencies required by the jury, he or she can obtain the certification in its entirety.

VAE Partial
The jury considers that the candidate's acquired experience is partly in line with the certification requirements and enables him/her to partially meet the certification objectives. The jury then specifies the missing block(s) of skills and advises the candidate on the training to be implemented.
