Role and missions of the Broadcast and Recording Sound Engineer
The sound engineer, specialized in broadcasting and recording, is the professional responsible for the sound quality of an audiovisual, musical or radio project.
He or she is involved in all stages of the audio process: from sound capture to broadcasting, including recording, mixing and control of the sound signal.
In the studio, he ensures that the recording is clear, balanced and faithful to the artistic intent. When broadcasting, he or she makes sure that the sound rendition is optimal for the audience, whether during filming, concerts, live broadcasts or screenings.
Both a technical and artistic profession, it requires a trained ear, great precision and perfect mastery of audio equipment.

Key knowledge to master
Mastery of sound recording tools: microphones, mixing consoles, preamps, digital recorders.
In-depth knowledge of processing and mixing software (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, etc.).
Notions ofacoustics and understanding of sound environments (studios, halls, outdoors).
Mastery of audio broadcasting channels (radio, television, streaming, live sound).
Ability to maintain and calibrate audio equipment.
