On Wednesday December 14, ESRA Bretagne, in partnership with Ouest-France, hosted a masterclass with actor Tomer SISLEY and Cédric HERBET, VFX producer at FIX Studio.
The first episode of the France TV series Vortex directed by Slimane-Baptiste BERHOUN was previewed for the students, followed by a meeting with Tomer SISLEY, lead actor, and Cédric HERBET, member of the virtual reality team used in the series. The series, co-written by Camille COUASSE and Sarah FARKA, is based on a concept by best-selling author Frank THILLIEZ.
Tomer SISLEY and Cédric HERBET discussed the technical aspects of shooting in a virtual studio. The green screen is now replaced by LED screens. The students questioned the actor about the difference between the practice of the craft in the USA and in France, and about relationships with directors.
