Director of photography Philippe ROUSSELOT came to share his experience with ESRA Bretagne students on September 14. The masterclass was led by Hussam Hindi, Professor of Directing at ESRA Bretagne and creator of the Traveling Rennes and Dinard British Film Festivals.
Philippe ROUSSELOT has created the images for over 50 films, and has collaborated with numerous directors including Jean-Jacques ANNAUD, Robert REDFORD, Stephen FREARS, Bertrand BLIER and Tim BURTON. In 1992, he won the Oscar for Best Cinematography for Robert REDFORD's Et au milieu coule une rivière, as well as the César for Best Photography for Jean-Jacques BEINEIX's Diva in 1982, Alain CAVALIER's Thérèse in 1987 and Patrice CHÉREAU's La Reine Margot in 1995. More recently, Philippe ROUSSELOT worked with David YATES on Fantastic Animals and Shane BLACK on The Nice Guys.
