Seth Ickerman duo Raphaël HERNANDEZ and Savitry JOLY-GONFARD and producer Alexis PERRIN presented their film Blood Machinesto ESRA students on Monday December 5.
The two men inaugurate the Blood Machine universe with the making of the clip Turbo Killer by Carpenter Brut in 2015. Appreciated by the artist's fans and the film world alike, they decided to make the film Blood Machines in collaboration with Carpenter Brut for the music. Thanks to participatory financing and their producer, and with the aim of making a film with a French personality, they are releasing the film in cinemas in 2021. Blood Machines benefited from wider distribution thanks to the English language.
The film aroused the students' curiosity about the creative and technical aspects. Raphaël HERNANDEZ and Savitry JOLY-GONFARD confessed to having trained in VFX on the job, and to having a subversive artistic approach. They also spoke of their great perseverance in the realization of their projects.
