Masterclass by Charlie AUFROY (ESRA Animation Côte d'Azur 2012)

Charlie AUFROY (ESRA Animation Côte d'Azur 2012) delivered a masterclass on May 18, 2018 to students in the ESRA Côte d'Azur Animation section.
On this occasion, he explained the specifics of his job as a 3D animator, which he has been practicing since 2015 at Illumination studio Mac Guff (Universal). After working on feature films such as The Minions, Like Beasts and Despicable Me 3he is currently working on How the Grinch stole Chrismas for which he spoke about the conditions of production, using images from the film.
Charlie AUFROY also presented an animated short, Kaalwhich he directed last year. On the strength of his professional experience, he decided to interrupt his work as an animator to carry out a personal project on a more human scale than that of a major studio. In particular, he was able to take advantage of the SupaResidence created by Supamonks Studio, which provides young talent with a dedicated space, equipment resources and a production management team, free of charge.
