The Sound Design module of the Sound Operator Professional Training course was judged by a panel of judges on Friday September 23.
The Jury was made up of three ESRA professors: Erwan LE MAO, Thierry DILGER, Hervé BAUDIER and Lucas ROUSSELOT, lead sound designer at Sloclap, who notably supervised the sound design of the game Sifu, released in February 2022.
Students in the Sound Design module of the Sound Engineer Professional Training program create and implement the complete sound universe of the Covid Killer game, including the sounds of the avatar's movements, weapons, enemies, environment, ambiences, interface and music.
The player is injected into a human body, with the aim of destroying the covid viruses. On his journey, which must be completed in the shortest possible time, he encounters enemies, keys to collect and doors to open. The player has three weapons at his disposal: a healomatic (a vaccine-launching pistol), a germoblaster (an anti-covid sulphate) and a pill (a medicine grenade).
