ESRA Bretagne students took part in a Masterclass with filmmaker and video artist Jean-Marc CHAPOULIE at the TNB (Théâtre National de Bretagne) in Rennes on February 6. Supported by the Brittany Regional Council (KARTA), the film "La Mer du milieu" (The Middle Sea ), made using CCTV cameras and videos found on the Internet, was screened.
Jean-Marc CHAPOULIE has exhibited a number of works at the Palais de Tokyo and the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain, in which he questions the moving image, filmic practices, and the ways in which films are made and distributed.
The filmmaker was present at the end of the screening.
