The jury was made up of two ESRA professors, Marie MULLER and Thierry DILGER, Jean-Christophe BELVAL, ISTS coordinator, and three professionals:
▪︎ Jean-Baptiste MERLAND, nearly 10 years of sound design and programming at Cryo-Interactive, a pioneering video game company, with legendary titles such as "Dune", "Atlantis " and "Versailles". Then audio project manager at the Bande Annonce studio in Paris on French and English localizations for Ubisoft or games scripted by Benoît SOKAL, "LÎle Noyée " or Enki Bilal "Nikopol". He is currently working on the design of multimedia systems for museography, notably "Souterrain de Laon".
▪︎ Gilles CAMOUS, after training at ESRA Bretagne in 2005, Gilles discovered sound design at Cyanide (Loki & Bloodbowl). He honed his expertise at Lyon-based studio EdenGames (Alone in the Dark & Test Drive Unlimited 2) , before returning to Paris to work for Don't Nod (Remember Me). For the past ten years, he has been working at Ubisoft's "Just Dance & Ghost Recon" studio as studio lead.
▪︎ Victoria GUILLON, a former student of ISTS (2015) and ENJMIN, Victoria has worked as a Sound Designer in various studios, including 2K, Game Audio Factory and Don't Nod Entertainment.
3rd year ISTS Video Games students produce a complete video game. This project represents the culmination of their training, applying the sound creation, integration and mixing techniques they have learned throughout the year.
This year, the students worked on the platform game The Explorer. This project is developed on Unity, with the audio part managed by Fmod in 5.1 multichannel.
Set on an unknown planet, we control Hellen, a cyborg who has just landed on the planet. Our goal: to explore the planet, discover its inhabitants and face the many dangers that await her along the way.
