The Professional Jury for ESRA Paris students' end-of-year films took place on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at the Jean RENOIR amphitheater.
The President of the Jury was Michel ALEXANDRE, screenwriter and dialoguist, twice nominated for a César for L.627 and The Cousin. He was joined by some thirty professionals to select the 2019 winners in each category.
Following the screening of the graduation films, the awards ceremony honored the following films:
BEST EDITING: Antoine De CHAUNAC and Corentin LANDAIS for Why do men live before they die? by Theo FIETTE

Prize: One week's editing/calibration worth €1,500 offered by DID / €200 offered by the BDA / Avid Media Composer license
The Jury was composed of:
- Lise BEAULIEU, César for Best Editing (1993) for Les Nuits fauves by Cyril COLLARD, she was editor on Carlitos Medellin, Gris Blanc, Belzec and Khamsa

- François DECODTS, TV film screenwriter(Le Dernier voyage directed by Frédéric MERMOUD) and feature film screenwriter: Je suis un soldat co-written with director Laurent LARIVIERE (Best Screenplay Award)
- Fabrice MARUCA, Author, director, member of the screenwriters' guild La Minute Vieille He has written screenplays for Un Gars une fille and has directed commercials and video clips for Natasha St Pier, Amel Bent...
- Charles NEMES, Writer-director known for his films Tableau d'honneur, La Tour Montparnasse infernale and numerous episodes of the sitcom H.

- François AUNAY, Producer, scriptwriter and director and former ESRA Côte d'Azur 2000 alumnus
- Christophe CHAUVILLE, Journalist and Editor-in-Chief of BREF magazine, dedicated to short films: he is a member of the short animation film pre-selection committee for the César Awards.
- Roland NGUYEN, President of the Fête du Court Métrage: for more than 20 years he directed the short film department at France 3 and then France Télévisions.
- Richard SIDI, General Delegate at Maison du Film Court : initially an actor, he specialized in script-doctoring before becoming head of the script department at Maison du Film Court.
The Maison du Film Court also awarded its "Maison du Film" special mention to Imago by Yann PERRIN.
