ESRA Bretagne partner of the Festival Lycéen de Cinéma Amateur

The Lycée Chateaubriand, the CM&P of Rennes Beaulieu, together with the TNB cinema, the Région Bretagne (Karta), the Cinémathèque de Bretagne, Clair Obscur, Le Grand Cordel mjc and ESRA Bretagne, are organizing a hybrid edition (online and in theaters) of their high school amateur film festival UNE ÉTOILE EST NÉE / CINEMAGORA in November 2020, originally scheduled for May 5.

The event, coordinated by Yola LE CAÏNE, festival creator and philosophy and film studies teacher, Ghislaine Pénard and Véronica Riboulot, CM&P teachers at Lycée Châteaubriand and coordinators of the Cinéma project, will take place in two stages.

On November 10, following a screening of the unabridged version ofGeorge Cukor's A Star is Born (1954), film studies students will present a scene from their Breton remake of the same film.

On November 13, the Festival Lycéen de Cinéma Amateur returns to the hall for the announcement of the winners, voted for online by the jury and the public from November 3 to 10. As a pre-programme to the winning films, two letters filmed "en confiné", exchanged between students and Breton filmmaker Robert Kernez, will be screened.

In addition to the Audience and Jury prizes, the TNB cinema is offering previews of the winning films on its website.
