ESRA Rennes recently welcomed two key figures in French dubbing: Philippe Peythieu and Véronique Augereau, the iconic voices ofHomer and Marge Simpson.
This exceptional masterclass offered students access to the world of professional dubbing. Our two guests passionately shared a behind-the-scenes look at their careers, their complicity behind the microphone, and the artistic demands of dubbing such mythical characters as The Simpsons.
At the end of the masterclass, a special animation was offered: Philippe Peythieu and Véronique Augereau took part in a live dubbing session, with explanations of their working methods, the way they prepare, interpret and adjust their acting to the image. An instructive and impressive moment.
The students had the opportunity to experience a real immersion in the world of dubbing, and to benefit from invaluable advice from two professionals. An inspiring encounter that will remain engraved in the students' memories.
