DIXIT, a recognized player in professional training and film publishing, yesterday joined the ESRA Group.
Over the past forty years, DIXIT has established itself as a benchmark in the training of film professionals, as well as in the publication of specialized works, including screenplays. With ESRA, DIXIT shares a commitment to offering Programs of excellence in the industry.
As part of the Grande Fabrique de l'Image - France 2030 plan, of which the school was a prizewinner, ESRA began offering its first Programs for Pros this year, with an ARRI certification and another on post-production for platforms developed with Prime Video.
"The timing is perfect, as this acquisition will enable us to establish a foothold in this segment, on which we have already begun working," stresses David Azoulay, Chairman of the ESRA Group.
"Historical links already exist between the two structures, as many of our teachers published books with Dixit. And we intend to develop both professional training and publishing. Within the group, we have a research department which organizes conferences and publishes its work. We've just completed our first cycle, entitled 'Making films in the era of series', which brought together producers, scriptwriters and directors over a two-year period. We also published a first book on the screenplay of the versatile Damien Bonnel, and we publish some exceptional student theses. So there's a lot of synergy in store, both for short Programs for professionals and for the whole editing and publishing side of things.
It's a great step forward for us, who believe deeply in the transmission of quality in the image and sound professions.
