ESRA Group Research Department

The ESRA Group's Research Department, headed by José MOURE, met on Wednesday November 30, 2022 for its first "Create" study day on the theme of "Making cinema in the era of series".

The ESRA Group Research Department consists of :

▪︎N. T. BINH, Film critic and former lecturer in film studies at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

▪︎Erwan CADORET, PhD in cinema and cinema and audiovisual teacher at ESRA Bretagne.

▪︎Cyril LAVERGER, Film and audiovisual teacher

▪︎Christophe LEMOINE, Actor and Screenwriter

▪︎José MOURE, Director of ESRA's Research Department; Professor of Film Studies at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

▪︎Caroline PIRAS, Producer

▪︎Caroline RENOUARD, Lecturer in film studies at the University of Lorraine

▪︎Géraldine SFEZ, Lecturer in film studies at the University of Lille

Entitled "Creating", the study day focused on the issues involved in creating and developing a film in the era of series. Christophe LEMOINE addressed the specificities and reciprocal influences of series and feature film scripts, followed by a meeting between showrunner Fanny HERRERO and director Maxime ROY, accompanied by producer Caroline PIRAS. Erwan CADORET then spoke on the theme of "Le grand retour du sérial: possibilités et limites des univers étendus au cinéma", followed by a meeting with director and screenwriter Éric TOLEDANO, moderated by N. T. BINH.

The next study day, entitled "Produce", will take place in June 2023.
