Daniel PREVOST at ESRA Thursdays

February 2018

ESRA students had the pleasure of meeting Daniel PREVOST this Thursday, February 1, 2018. Comedians present at ESRA Thursdays are rare. And Daniel PREVOST is a rare actor. In the sense that his career is atypical. Extremely popular (not just for his film appearances), he basically only had secondary roles for a very long time.

Before taking off later, playing much more subtle, sometimes painful characters, while his image is that of a comedian. If it was for his participation in Dinner of Cons that he is most often arrested in the street, we have chosen to show Les Petits Ruisseauxby Pascal RABATE, a late film, but one in which the comedian makes the most of everything. Daniel PREVOST didn't just shine in the cinema: he was also much in evidence on television (his year in Petit Rapporteur still earns him much praise) and in the theater. But he also writes... On the other hand, he has never had the slightest intention of directing. So it was on the subject of acting that he spoke at ESRA, regaling the room with his repartee. While the form obviously matched the content, his meeting with the students was all the more fruitful in that he spoke with complete sincerity about his profession, its greatness and its servitudes. Of course, he also added a few anecdotes about some of his film shoots, notably with his friends Jean YANNE and Gérard DEPARDIEU...
