One of the most dynamic producers on the French film scene, Christophe ROSSIGNON came to ESRA for the second time on November 19.
He had chosen to show Vincent GARENQ's "L'Enquête", in the vein of the great political films of the 60s and 70s, when the films of COSTA-GAVRAS were eagerly awaited. "L'Enquête tells the story of the Clearstream affair, through the character of Denis ROBERT, who witnessed the affair before unwillingly becoming one of its characters. Christophe ROSSIGNON explained that production should not be confused with finance, and that the producer had an essential artistic role to play in his collaboration with the director. This explains why he wants to work on projects at a very early stage, even initiating them. And that he is very often in a position to work on several films with authors with whom he is in osmosis. Christophe ROSSIGNON is passionate about what he does, and is capable of talking about it for hours on end... The master class was close to three hours long, so generous was his language... and so straightforward.
