The 9th edition of the ESRA 48H was held from Thursday February 11 to Saturday February 13, 2021.
Organized by the students of the BDE ASTRÆOS Association, the competition consists in writing, shooting and editing a film of 4 minutes maximum, including credits, in 48 hours, with constraints imposed at the time of the launch. This year, 308 students took part, including two teams from Brussels and one from Rennes, and 34 short films were submitted on Saturday evening:

The constraints were :
Genre: drama / comedy / fantasy / horror / film noir
Colorimetric: an imposed color (red, green, blue or yellow) to be integrated into at least one scene of the film through sets, costumes, lighting or post-production.
Homage: A reference to a scene in a film, either through the staging or the dialogue. The aim is for the jury to find the film
In addition to these constraints, the original soundtracks and the quality of the sound editing and mixing are a point of honor.
A professional jury will view the films, fill in a scoring grid and award the prizes at the end of March. The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony.
6 prizes will be awarded: Best Short Film, Best Screenplay, Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Soundtrack and Audience Favorite.
