The 8th edition of the ESRA 48H was held from Friday February 7, 8pm to Sunday February 9, 10pm.
Organized by students from the Cinefestival Association, the competition involves writing, shooting and editing a 1-3 minute film in 48 hours, with constraints imposed at the launch. This year 28 teams took part, including one from Nice, and 24 short films were submitted on Sunday evening.
The constraints were :
Genre: horror / western / science fiction / drama / comedy / action
Mise En Scène: silent film / Quebec character / slow-motion shot / handheld camera sequence / film in a foreign language / must break the 4th wall
Compulsory phrases: "I like to fight", "shitty world", "I love you - I know", "jerks will dare anything, that's how you can recognize them", "Hasta la vista baby", "when you've got a gun barrel in your mouth, the only vowels you can't pronounce".
The best films will be screened at the Closing Ceremony in March. On this occasion, a jury of film professionals will award the prizes.
