The first feature film by Peter DOUROUNTZIS (ESRA 2002) is part of the official selection for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival.
The film, entitled "Vaurien is the story of a lonely vagabond played by actor Pierre DELADONCHAMPS, winner of the César for Best Male Actor in 2014, who co-stars with Ophélie BAU, Sébastien HOUBANI and Inas CHANTI. Currently in post-production, the film wrapped shooting at the end of November and will be released in autumn 2020. This film is selected in the "Les Premiers Films" category.
After his studies at ESRA, and in parallel with his job at Samu Social, Peter DOUROUNTZIS directed several short films. In 2014, " Errance " with Paul HAMY and Zita HANROT won the Grand Prix Unifrance 2015 and the Best Short Film Award at the Festival International d'Amiens. In 2015, he continued with two other short films " Grands Boulevards and " Dernier Raccourci".
