Adrien Bertolle, a graduate of ESRA Côte d'Azur (2008) and ESRA New York (2009), has made a name for himself as a director of photography on the international audiovisual scene. He shot the images for the series The Dealseries, presented as a world premiere at the prestigious Séries Mania festival in Lille, France, from March 21 to 28, 2025. The series won the Special Mention for Screenplay.
In an interview with theAFC (Association Française des directeurs de la photographie Cinématographique), Adrien Bertolle talks about the strong aesthetic choices that have guided his work: a cold, precise image, dominated by mineral hues, that reinforces the clinical, distanced aspect of the story. He also discusses the close collaboration with the director, the rigorous composition of the frames, and the importance of silence and space in the staging.
The series will be broadcast on ARTE, reinforcing the presence of ESRA talent among those shaping works broadcast on major European channels.
