On November 13, 2017, we had the pleasure of welcoming Stéphane CELERIER, Managing Director of Mars Films as part of a DHEC - Département des Hautes Etudes Cinématographiques masterclass with students from the Screenwriting/Directing and Production/Distribution sections.
Stéphane CELERIER shared with the students his career path and his passion for his profession as a Producer and Distributor. In 2018-2019 he will distribute between 20 and 24 films with directors such as Thierry KLIFA "Tout nous sépare", Roman POLANSKI "d'Après une histoire vraie", Woody ALLEN "Wonder Wheel", Eric ZONCA "Fleuve noir", Michel OCELOT "Dilili à Paris", Xavier DOLAN "Ma vie avec John F. Donovan" and many others...
He spoke of the difficulty of independent distribution these days, and of his desire to reduce the number of films distributed to 15 a year, in order to refocus on production. Over the course of the year, he will be producing 2 to 3 films, with another 10 in development.
