A symposium on changes in the Sound and Music professions was held on Saturday May 30 at the Jean Renoir Amphitheatre.

The round tables focused on :

Computer music for composers

From sequencer to composition aid Presentation of "Opus Modus" software

New organizations in music production

Nicolas PELLET, Marketing Director, Universal

Frantz STEINBACH of the "District 6" label

 

Composing for new images (series / video games / cinema)

Pierre-André ATHANÉ, television composer

Arnaud ROY, video game composer, sound designer

 

Artistic property under attack in the age of sampling and copyright

Maître Martin LEMERY, intellectual property specialist

 

Numerous questions from the audience followed each presentation. We would like to thank all the speakers for their participation.

 

The symposium concluded with a concert featuring Ann-Shirley N'GOUASSA (ISTS 3) on vocals and piano , accompanied by
