On January 16, ESRA welcomed director Olivier DAHAN to its Jean RENOIR amphitheater, following the screening of his 2010 film "My Own Love Song".
Olivier DAHAN looks back on a career that's more coherent than it seems. From the short film that first brought him to the attention of producers, to his remarkable first feature film, to the worldwide blockbuster "La Môme", which followed a few years later: "La Môme. He then went on to make an American film, but always maintaining the same working method and treatment of his subject. Having studied Fine Arts, he remains sensitive to the rarely realistic aesthetics of his films. On the set, he is like a painter who unites the various human and material elements. He insisted on the importance of the script, before returning to the difficulties of releasing Grace of Monaco.
