ESRA partners the second edition of the Format Court Festival

November 2020

For the second year, ESRA is a partner of the Format Court festival, which took place online from November 18 to 22, 2020.

This year, the Format Court festival is broadcasting the films in competition on its website. Maïmouna DOUCOURÉ, director of Mignonnes is patron of this year's festival. She presented 6 awards alongside the professional Jury, made up of :

Sole Mio by Maxime ROY (ESRA 2010) wins the Audience Award. Clément CANDELARA (ESRA 2011) is Editor, Pierre DERNONCOURT (ISTS 2011) is Sound Recordist, Gauthier MONNIN (ESRA 2016) is Second Camera Assistant and Xavier SYLVESTRE-BRU (ESRA 2010) is Gaffer.

Synopsis: Daniel copes with the despair of his mother, who has no news of his father. When his father arrives at his home on the eve of his operation to become a woman, Lisa, he must force his father to tell the truth.

In 2020, his film Beautiful Loser was nominated for a César in the Best Short Film category, and he will shortly be releasing his first feature film, Les Héroïques.
