Sound: An Essential Component of the Gaming Experience
For students specializing in sound for video games, this visit also provided an opportunity to observe the role that the soundscape plays in the experiences offered to players.
Interactive music, sound effects, ambient sounds, and spatial audio all play a key role in creating immersion and advancing the narrative in a video game.
Exploring the productions showcased at the expo allows them to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts covered during their training by examining how the artistic and technical aspects of sound are integrated into game design.
An educational experience grounded in the realities of the industry
Beyond introducing students to the latest video game releases, this event is part of ESRA’s commitment to offering an educational program that is open to professional realities and developments in the creative industries.
Participating in events such as Paris Games Week allows students to gain a better understanding of the diversity of careers in the field, discover different production environments, and reflect on their future career plans.
