Dominique BESNEHARD opened season 13 of Jeudis de l'ESRA to a packed auditorium.
A familiar face in the world of cinema, he was a casting director and star agent before moving into production ten years ago. Not forgetting his actor's hat, and that of director of the Angoulême Film Festival. One of his latest productions, "Je suis un soldat", by Laurent LARIVIERE, was screened prior to his arrival. A beautiful, very dark film focusing on the illegal trafficking of pedigree dogs in France, with Jean-Hugues ANGLADE in a novel role. The students' many questions focused mainly on BESNEHARD's relationship with the actors. Not only because he has acted for some of the greatest, but also because he naturally continues to pay particular attention to them in the films he makes. All the more so as he is currently in the middle of shooting season 2 of "Dix pour cent", a series devoted to an agency of agents, with each episode recounting a real-life experience. But the debate also touched on more personal considerations, the idea being to find out why and how our guest had managed to become this indispensable go-between between stars and the public.
