The 12th edition of the Magritte du cinéma was held on Saturday March 4 at the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Created in 2011 to salute the productions of French-speaking Belgian cinema, the Magritte du Cinéma awards are the Belgian equivalent of the César awards in France. Films in competition are those released between October 15 of the previous year and October 15 of the current year. Voting took place in two rounds, the first to determine the nominations, the second for the winners. Former ESRA Brussels students and teachers were nominated for the Magritte awards.
