Format Court magazine, in collaboration with ESRA Brussels and with the support of the Académie André Delvaux, organized the second edition of After Short, this time dedicated to the winners of the Magritte 2025 awards.
A convivial evening, rich in exchanges, which honored several of this year's award-winning short films.
🎥 La nuit se traîne made Magritte history by winning 10 awards, a record for a Belgian film!
We were delighted to welcome:
- Michiel Blanchart, director (best film, best first film, best direction, best screenplay)
- Catherine Cosme, chief set designer (best sets)
- Sylvestre Vannoorenberghe, director of photography (best image)
- Isabel Van Renterghem, costume designer (best costumes)
- Matthieu Jamet-Louis, chief editor (best editing)
- Antoine Wattier, sound designer (best sound)
🌧 On the casting side, Il pleut dans la maison was also praised, with the presence of:
- Louise Manteau (best supporting actress)
- Purdey Lombet (best female hopeful)
- Makenzy Lombet (best male hopeful)
🎶 We also welcomed:
- Frédéric Vercheval, composer of Green Border (Magritte for best music, ex-aequo)
- Mathieu Volpe, director of Eldorado (best fiction short film)
- Bastien Martin, producer of En mille pétales (best animation short film - Camera-etc)
