On October 25, 2012, ESRA welcomed director Stéphane BRIZE to its amphitheater, following the screening of his 2009 film " Mademoiselle Chambon". The filmmaker is no stranger to the school, having agreed a year earlier that his latest film " Quelques heures de printemps " would be the subject of the Master's program. What both films have in common is their extreme sensitivity and the presence of Vincent LINDON in the lead role. It was an excellent opportunity to see that this sensitivity is not an attitude, but the filmmaker's primary quality. Stéphane BRIZE's visit inaugurated the Ninth Season of Thursdays.
He spoke to the students about his career, his relationships with actors and what cinema means to him. Not coming from a professional background, he sees the opportunity to make films as the culmination of a constant investment. Returning to Vincent LINDON and Sandrine KIBERLAIN, who were cast in the film after having been a couple in the city, the director emphasized the fragility of the acting profession and the immense gift that actors give to the viewer.
