Hors Normes is the latest French comedy from Eric TOLEDANO (ESRA 1994) and Olivier NAKACHE, starring Vincent CASSEL, Reda KATEB and Hélène VINCENT.

On this film Eric TOLERADO was accompanied by 6 ESRA alumni. Marc ANFOSSI (ESRA 2008) Data manager,Pascal ARMANT (ESRA 1984) Sound mixer, Arnaud CACHAU (ESRA 1996) Post-production manager, Aleksandra DA SILVA ZURAW (ESRA 2011) Camera assistant, Michaël WALLET (ESRA 2007) Electrician, Camille CARIOU (DHEC 2015) Post-production manager.

After graduating from ESRA (1995), Eric TOLEDANO began working in the film industry alongside childhood friend Olivier Nakache, with whom he wrote and directed the short film Le Jour et la nuit. But it was with another short, Les Petits souliers, that the duo made their mark, with a selection for the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, then one for the Paris Film Festival, where it received the Audience Prize in 1999.

Having both attended summer camps, the two continued their collaboration, once again drawing on their experiences, to create the short film "Ces Jours heureux". Eric TOLEDANO then tried his hand at feature films, co-writing Je préfère qu'on reste amis, before directing Nos jours heureux.

With the film Tellement proches, Eric TOLEDANO and Olivier NAKACHE humorously tackle the theme of the family, inspired by their respective experiences. The pair went on to make Intouchables, their 4th feature film, starring Omar SY and François CLUZET. The film sold 19.5 million tickets in France, making it the biggest box-office success of all time, behind Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis and Titanic. Samba was another success, selling over 3 million tickets.

In 2019, the duo reunite to make Hors normes, with Vincent CASSEL and Reda KATEB as the main characters. The two actors play Bruno and Malik, two long-serving educators who train young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods to take care of autistic children and teenagers.

SYNOPSIS:
For 20 years, Bruno and Malik have lived in a world apart: that of autistic children and teenagers. Within their two respective associations, they train young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods to deal with these "hyper-complex" cases. An extraordinary alliance for extraordinary personalities.
